GEORGE TOWN: Penang DAP chairman and state executive councillor Chow Kon Yeow will lead the state DAP’s Permatang Pauh by-election machinery.
Party secretary-general Lim Guan Eng announced this yesterday after discussions with DAP assemblymen here.
“Chow will form his team to ensure we can win in Permatang Pauh and Datuk Seri Anwar (Ibrahim) can take his rightful place in Parliament and hopefully, return as our next Prime Minister,” Lim said when launching a Penang DAP retreat yesterday.
Chow, who was also present at the launch, said the election machinery’s first meeting would be held later in the day with teams from PKR and PAS. ... more
