Stadium Sultan Mirzan yang runtuh tempat khalwat

The Sultan Mizan Stadium in Terengganu, which was closed indefinitely recently after a section of the roof collapsed has become one of the hideouts for couples to ber’khalwat’.
This was reported as the debate is currently going on by the authorities where they are trying to pass the bucket on who should foot the bill for to repair the roof.
All events which are supposed to be held there are currently suspended while the quarters involved ‘fight’ over who is responsible for the stadium which was built not too long ago.
Couples have been spotted ‘romanticing’ around the stadium, from the seats to the toilets to the car park and this tipped off the religious enforcement officers when they observed many cars and motorcycles entering the compound especially at night time.
Their raid found some couples in compromising positions and this was highlighted. According to Khazan Che Mat, the chairman of the Terengganu State Religious and Information Com¬mittee “A dozen couples were caught for close proximity at the site during follow-up operations.
The couples had thought they could evade the officers but they had been proven wrong as the officers out-smarted them with their diligence.”
He added that “The officers found it unusual that the Teluk Ketapang beachfront, where many a “khalwat-ing” couple had been nabbed previously, had suddenly become deserted. The officers have been directed to intensify surveillance at abandoned sites.” - Malaysia Today.com
