The Penang-based Alleycats is an iconic group in the country, whose popularity dates back to the 70s. Its first album, “Terima Kasih”, was produced in Singapore in 1978, and the rest, as they say, is history.
The Alleycats became a household name in the country and Singapore, and also made a name in the international music scene. The group’s popular hits include “Sampaikan Salam Cinta Ku Padanya”, “Sekuntum Mawar Merah Sebuah Puisi” and “Andainya Aku Pergi Dulu Sebelummu”. — Bernama
