KUALA LUMPUR: The Small and Medium Scale Entrepreneurs Organisation of Malaysia (Ikhlas) has offered to help the children of the late cosmetics millionaire Datuk Sosilawati Lawiya to carry on their mother's business.

Its president, Mohd Ridzuan Abdullah, said the organisation could help them in terms of publicity and business promotion.

However, the matter has yet to be discussed with Sosilawati's children since they were still mourning the death of their mother, he told reporters after attending a 'tahlil' (prayer) session at Sosilawati's house here.

Sosilawati, 47, CIMB Bank officer Noorhisham Mohammad, 38, driver Kamaruddin Shamsudin, 44, and lawyer Ahmad Kamil Abdul Karim, 32, were reported missing on Aug 30 after leaving for Banting over a land deal.

Police confirmed that the four of them were brutally murdered before their bodies were burnt and the ashes thrown into rivers near Ladang Gadong, Tanjung Sepat, near Banting.

Meanwhile, Selangor State Assembly Deputy Speaker Haniza Mohamed Talha, who also attended the event, said core human values should be inculcated in the people to prevent such brutality. - Malay Mail
