The Gombak Timur Syariah Lower Court here issued a warrant of arrest against actor Norman Hakim and actress Memey for failing to turn up at the court today over their "khalwat" (close proximity) case.
Syarie Judge Salehan Yatim issued the order after both of them were absence in court without giving any valid reason.
Syarie lawyer Munirah Abu Bakar, representing the couple, had earlier told the court that she received a call from Norman early today informing that he was not able to come to the court because he was unwell.
However, she said Norman did not provide any medical certificate. - Bernama
