KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 — The pump price for RON97 petrol will be cut by 10 sen to RM2.80 at midnight today, the first drop since the price was floated at market rates.
The premium fuel has gone through four price hikes to RM2.90 since the beginning of the year.
“Yes, RON97 will drop 10 sen a litre from midnight. This is the first drop since the government started its subsidy rationalisation,” a source told The Malaysian Insider.
Another source said the decision was made known to distributors and petrol pump operators this evening. - TMI
