PUTRAJAYA, Oct 25 - Pas has offered to act as mediator in resolving the problems supporters of the outlawed Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) had with the government. The offer was made by two leaders of the party, vice-president Datuk Husam Musa and Youth chief Salahuddin Ayub, who met with about 40 Hindraf supporters in front of the Putrajaya police headquarters here today.
The group comprised relatives and friends of the 10 Hindraf supporters being held under remand since their arrest for illegal assembly in front of the Prime Minister's office here on Thursday.
The 10 had wanted to hand over a memorandum to the Prime Minister's office asking for the release of the five Hindraf members detained under the Internal Security Act (ISA) before Deepavali on Monday.
Salahuddin said the government was trying to avoid having discussions with the Hindraf supporters and Pas wanted to help mediate.
Husam said the relatives were not allowed to meet the 10 Hindraf supporters because, according to police, that was only allowed on week days.
The two Pas leaders took the group to the food court and bought them food and drinks and gave them RM5,000 as a Deepavali gift. - Bernama

I shed tears when I read the article about YB Husam Musa's kind gesture.These are the people who keep up the true teachings of islam.This kind act has definitely re-inforced my beleive that,there are definitely many kind and wonderful muslims out there,though many of them may not pick up such courage to come out and help the needy and poor non-muslims who need their support and kindness.I always had a great respect for Tuan Nik Aziz,for not only he being a wonderful and a very fair human being but also for being a muslim who follows the true teachings of his faith and never wanted to hurt people of other faiths.How wonderful if we have such leaders as our PM,there will be no necessity to go to the PM's office and beg him virtually like a dog to be heard,and get dragged to the police lock up together with a 6yr old innocent child whose only sin is to request the with such earnesty to be reunited with her father and her uncles,who did nothing wrong except for standing up for the rights of the poor,marginalized and the down trodden.These PAS leaders have shown the beauty of Islam,which the UMNOputras tried to taint with their selfish and ulterior motives to be hegenomistic.May god bless these wonderful souls called Husam Musa and the others in PAS,who are so kind and willing to listen the grouses of a small poor and marginalized society.
