KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 13 - Bukit Gelugor MP Karpal Singh today lodged a police report on the statement made by Chief Justice Tan Sri Zaki Tun Azmi that Zaki had bribed court staff during his days as a lawyer. He lodged the report at the Dang Wangi police station at 3pm. He said that Zaki's statement, which was reported in the New Straits Times on Nov 8, exposed him to prosecution under section 4(b) of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1961.
However, Zaki had clarified that he had never in his life bribed or received any bribe.
Karpal Singh said he would bring the case to the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA). - Bernama
