hahahahah ... Gua Musang dapat Wi-fi percuma kata Rais Yatim

MS: Itu yang Rais Yatim kata la... sebagai gula-gula orang di PRK Galas ... baru ni TPM Muyidin nak buat rumah murah, hari ni Rais pula nak bagi wi-fi ... esok, apa lagi depa nak bagi pun tak tau lah .... hahaha tempat aku ni bila pula nak ada PRK ... dapat Wi-fi free ... hehehehe
Gua Musang became the first constituency in Kelantan to enjoy free wi-fi internet services, involving 30 villages, under the "Kampung Wifi" program provided by the federal government.

Minister of Information Communication and Culture Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim said in line with the government's efforts to provide the people, including those in rural areas, with such services, the ministry would implement the "Kampung Wi-fi" program in stages.

"Gua Musang is the first area to be installed with the "Kampung Wifi" service because the people here have been waiting for such a service," he told reporters after launching the "Kampung Wifi" program in Sungai Terah, here today.

Also present was Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for the Galas by-election, Abdul Aziz Yusoff, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) chairman Tan Sri Khalid Ramli and Paloh state assemblyman Datuk Nozula Mat Diah.

Rais said the implementation of the "Kampung Wifi" program would be carried out with the expertise of MCMC and Telekom Malaysia or Parnec, a company under Telekom Malaysia.

He said that the program, planned by the federal government a long time ago, was important to the people at all levels, including school children, because it is the latest technology introduced by the government.

"The government is committed towards the need of the people who hunger for technological advancement, including Kelantan, because the needs of everyone are the same.

"We will not sideline the needs of the people but continue to focus on providing such infrastructure. However, such facilities will not be build at one go, but in stages," he said.

Rais said the implementation of the program had nothing to do with the Galas by-election because the government had planned for such an implementation but coincidentally, it was launched during the by-election.

He added that the 7.9 million 3G service users in the country were now switching to broadband as the number of users has increased to 600,000.
