T-SHIRT BERSIH - Lagi tangkapan di Alor Setar

ALOR SETAR A man in his 40s was detained by police for having with him 43 banned "Bersih" T-shirts in his car parked outside a house a house at Km4, Jalan Changlun here at 2am today.

Kedah police chief Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim said police were investigating the connection between the man and the owner of the house which was raided by police yesterday.

"We managed to trace the owner of the building where the printing of the T-shirts was done but he was not involved. We are now looking for the persons who rented the house," Ahmad told reporters here.

Yesterday three men (two of them Bangladeshi nationals) were detained while printing 'Bersih' T-shirts at a shoplot in Taman Nuri here.

The "Bersih" T-shirts have been banned by the authorities a the Coalition for Free and Fair Elections, an outlawed group, planned to use then in illegal street demonstrations scheduled for July 9. -- BERNAMA
