KUALA LUMPUR, March 22 — PKR MPs want the Barisan Nasional (BN) government to cancel its existing contract with APCO following claims made by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim that the public relations company had clear links with the former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.
Anwar had claimed last week that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s “1 Malaysia” slogan was a mere rehashing of Israel’s “1Israel” campaign back in 1999.
“If Umno BN does not cancel APCO’s contract, it will give the implication that Israeli policy will become the basis of our country’s communications.”
“ I challenge the PM that if strict action is not taken, the people will say that you are in cohorts with Israeli leaders,” said PKR Youth Exco member Yusmadi Yusoff, who was flanked by PKR MPs Sivarasa Rasiah, Datuk Johari Abdul and Amran Abu Ghani. - TMI
