Selain Gobalabrishnan, Ahli Parlimen Bayan Baru, Mohamed Zahrain Hashim; Ahli Parlimen Nibong Tebal, Tan Tee Beng; Ahli Parlimen Bagan Serai, Mohsin Fadzli Shamsuri keluar parti dengan pelbagai alasan.

Sebaliknya, pelbagai laporan menunjukkan tindakan mereka bersandarkan faktor kewangan termasuk membayar hutang masing-masing.

Saifuddin Wants IRB to Investigate Gobala Over RM1.4mil Payment
by Aidil Syukri

KUALA LUMPUR, 10 MARCH, 2011: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) through its secretary-general, Saifuddin Nasution, urged the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) to investigate, N Gobalakrishnan over the latter’s payment of RM1.4 million to Kumpulan Pertanian Kelantan Bhd through his company Embun Megah Sdn Bhd.

According to Saifuddin, it is strange that suddenly the Padang Serai MP could pay such huge sums of money to Kumpulan Pertanian Kelantan.

“PKR is urging the IRB to ‘say hello’ to Gobala and asked on how he is able to pay RM1.4 million to Kumpulan Pertanian Kelantan Bhd. Ask him where did he get the source (of funds). Who is so generous to help him?” Saifuddin said in a press conference at Parliament today.

“January and March has been the peak period of his attacks, criticism and defamation towards PKR. And within this time he is suddenly able to pay that sum of money,” he added.

Saifuddin who is also the Machang MP said PKR reiterated that the betrayals of some PKR MPs are being driven by lucrative rewards that are impossible to be enjoyed by them if they were to remain in PKR.

“Unfortunately, they created absurd reasons to justify their actions. The question is, if he (Gobala) is able to pay RM1.4 million in just three month, how much did he receive as the price of his betrayal? And also, how much does the Wangsa Maju MP, Bagan Serai MP, Kulim Bandar Baharu MP and Nibong Tebal MP received?” he added.

He also added that the reason for Gobala quitting from PKR was also driven by his dissatisfaction for not being elected to lead any state government companies which he thought would have secured him huge returns - malaysiandigest
