Dahlan Zainuddin Kekok Dengan Gelaran Datuk Yang Diterima

Penyanyi era 70-an, Dahlan Zainuddin bersyukur kerana dianugerahkan darjah kebesaran yang membawa gelaran Datuk sempena ulang tahun Keputeraan Sultan Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah.

Beliau yang menerima Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) adalah antara 180 penerima darjah kebesaran.

"Boleh dikatakan kawan seperjuangan saya yang lain sudah menerima pangkat ini. Biar saya menerimanya lambat, saya tetap bersyukur. Terima kasih kepada yang memberi dan mengingati saya," katanya.

Mengakui kekok dengan gelaran itu, beliau tidak kisah jika ada yang memanggilnya dengan panggilan nama seharian.

AMPANG - Bekas Ahli Parlimen dari Melaka bergelar Datuk didakwa mempunyai hubungan sulit dengan isteri seorang pegawai kanan sebuah agensi penguat kuasa di negara ini.

Difahamkan hubungan terlarang itu bermula sejak lebih setahun lalu dan berterusan sehingga wanita berkenaan mendirikan rumah tangga dengan pegawai kanan terbabit pada November 2013.

Wanita berusia 44 tahun itu yang turut terlibat dalam politik, dikatakan 'diikat' Datuk berkenaan dengan pelbagai kemewahan seperti duit mencecah puluhan ribu ringgit setiap bulan, selain turut dihadiahkan sebuah kereta mewah jenis Mercedez Benz.

KUANTAN: Penyanyi Jamal Abdillah dikurnia Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) yang membawa gelaran Datuk, bersempena ulang tahun keputeraan ke-83 Sultan Pahang, pada Khamis.

Turut dikurnia darjah sama ialah penyanyi dari Indonesia, Sri Rossa Roslaina Handiyani atau lebih dikenali sebagai Rossa.

Jamal atau nama sebenarnya Jamal Ubaidillah Ali, 54, antara 643 penerima anugerah darjah kebesaran dan pingat yang dikurnia oleh Sultan Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah.

Berasal dari Ipoh, Perak, Jamal yang mendapat gelaran 'Raja Pop' mula menceburi bidang nyanyian pada 1973 dan aktif dalam dunia hiburan tanah air sehingga kini.

Anak sulung daripada tujuh beradik itu mula dikenali ramai setelah muncul sebagai juara dalam pertandingan Bintang RTM 1979.

Namanya memuncak setelah mempopularkan lagu-lagu ciptaan komposer Ahmad Nawab serta membintangi beberapa filem seperti 'Azura' serta 'Kekasih Awal Dan Akhir'.

Jamal yang pernah berumahtangga sebanyak tiga kali dikurniakan dua anak lelaki, Osama Yamani dan Ahmad Zaki Yamani.

Sementara itu, Rossa, 35, yang berasal dari Sumedang, Indonesia mula aktif dalam bidang nyanyian pada 1995 dan menempa nama di negara dengan lagu-lagu seperti 'Atas Nama Cinta', 'Ayat-Ayat Cinta', 'Hati Yang Kau Sakiti' dan 'Aku Bukanlah Untukmu'. - BERNAMA

Datuk jailed 26 years for cheating two Datuks

KUALA LUMPUR, April 19 — A Datuk was sentenced to a total of 26 years’ jail by the Sessions Court here today after he was found guilty of cheating two other Datuks in an investment scam and forging documents involving RM12 million.

Datuk Paiman Shakimon, 52, was sentenced to five years’ jail for cheating businessman Datuk Rosidi Kamaruddin, 59, by inducing Rosidi to hand over RM3.8 million in a scam called “Program Roll-Over’ which purportedly had been approved by Bank Negara.

Paiman, of Country Heights, Kajang, was sentenced to eight years’ jail on a similar offence of cheating Datuk Liew Teck Keong, 56, involving RM8 million.

On the forging of documents, Paiman was jailed five years for misleading Rosidi, and eight years in Liew’s case.

Judge Datuk Jagjit Singh ordered the five-year and eight-year jail terms to run consecutively, effective today, while the other sentences are to run concurrently. This means Paiman has to serve 13 years in jail.

He committed all the offences at Hotel Nikko in Jalan Ampang here between May 2005 and November 2006.

The court was told during the trial that the scam involved more than RM27 million and investors were promised returns of 50 times their investment and that it purportedly had Bank Negara approval.

The court allowed Paiman’s application for a stay of the sentences pending appeal to the High Court.

However, his bail was increased from RM100,000 to RM700,000 in one surety - TMI

Wed, 13 Oct 2010 11:50 .KUALA LUMPUR: The Kelantan palace has revoked the datukship it conferred on Perkasa boss Ibrahim Ali, but the latter is not perturbed.

According to him, he still has two more Datukships from Selangor and Malacca.

Speaking to reporters in Parliament, Ibrahim said he learnt about the Kelantan palace's decision through the media this morning.

However, the Pasir Mas MP did not know the reason for this and had yet to receive an official letter regarding the palace's decision.

“I am not upset, I will keep fighting to uphold the Federal Constitution and the special position of the Malays,” he said, adding that he would not mind if people stopped addressing him as Datuk.

The Perkasa leader also claimed that his relationship with the Kelantan palace, which was rocked by a power squabble, was good.

The revocation of Ibrahim’s datukship came several days after he visited the former Sultan of Kelantan Tuanku Ismail Petra.

After Friday's visit, Ibrahim told the media that the former Sultan was glad to see him.

'Datuk' palsu - Istana Kelantan buat laporan polis

KOTA BAHARU: The office of the Sultan of Kelantan today lodged a police report on the false offer of Kelantan State honours purportedly issued by the office.

The report was lodged by the Administrative Officer (Protocol) from the Office of the Sultan of Kelantan, Nik Mahmud Nik Jaafar, at the Kota Baharu District Police Headquarters at noon.

The Comptroller of the Kelantan Royal Household, Datuk Abdul Halim Hamad said the report was lodged after the office received a copy of the document from Istana Telipot regarding the award of the state honours.

"On Sept 19, the Office of the Sultan of Kelantan, Istana Balai Besar Kota Baharu received a copy of the document which was received from Istana Telipot, which was faxed by the Special Investigation Division (D9), Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) Jalan Hang Tuah, Kuala Lumpur pertaining to the letter on the award of the state honours.

"A check was made and it was found that the document was false and had never been issued by this office, and as such, I have instructed the Administrative Officer (Protocol) of the Office of the Sultan of Kelantan to lodge a police report on the matter," he said in a statement, here today.

He said the report was lodged to ask the police to initiate immediate investigation on the falsification of the document so that such an act could be curbed in future. - BERNAMA
