Lim Hui Hoon says the police officer assaulted her with his pistol — Picture courtesy of Sin Chew DailyKUCHING: The actions of a drunken police corporal from the state criminal investigation division, who assaulted a 22-year-old woman with his service pistol here on Thursday night, has riled up Sarawak police commissioner Datuk Mohamad Salleh.
"We cannot afford to have people like this in the police force and I will not tolerate such personnel," he said after witnessing the handing over of duties between outgoing state deputy police commissioner acting SAC II Thaiveegan Arumugam and his successor SAC I Datuk Hamza Taib at the state police headquarters here.
He said the corporal had been placed under arrest and would face the "full force of the law".
